Fordlandia: Henry Ford Built a Perfect American Town in the Amazon — And Never Visited It Once

In 1928, Henry Ford bulldozed 1,000 km into the Amazon jungle to build a perfect American town — white picket fences, a golf course, a movie theater. He called it Fordlandia. It collapsed spectacularly, and he never set foot in it.
